PBN Pyrolytic Boron Nitride

PBN Pyrolytic Boron Nitride

PBN is a good choice for the most demanding applications requiring high temperature and high purity. PBN is an extremely pure boron nitride solid grown using a CVD process. The material is nontoxic, imporous an with excellent thermal shock resistance, good excellent thermal conductivity.

Applications

  1. MBE crucibles
  2. MBE furniture

Mid-Autumn Festival (BOBING-moon cake gambling)

Mid-Autumn Festival(BOBING-moon cake gambling)

Xiamen mooncake gambling
The euphonious clang of dice colliding with china bowls can often be heard in Xiamen at this time of year as the coastal city is enjoying the Bo Bing game or Moon cake dice game during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Bo Bing is a traditional gambling game involving six dice, a round bowl and of course moon cakes. Its origins can be traced back to the great general Zheng Chenggong. The game was created as a way to occupy his troops as they waited during the mid-autumn festival before retaking Taiwan from foreign occupation.
Despite the fact that Bo Bing is widely practiced in Xiamen, Ningde, Kinmen and other areas in southern Fujian and Taiwan during Mid-Autumn Festival, the rules are never completely unified.
“There are always some differences in different places, especially when it comes to deciding who is the No.1 winner or Zhuangyuan, due to historical and cultural reasons,” said Gong Jie, former curator of Xiamen Museum and a renowned history expert, at a cross-strait Bo Bing culture symposium.
Gong suggested that the authorities could convene folklore experts and ordinary citizens to discuss and work out a unified Bo Bing rule to better promote the development of the game.
Forget about the disputes, WOX has kindly found a widely-recognized Bo Bing set of rules in Xiamen. Enjoy the game with your friends, and we wish you a happy Mid-autumn Festival.

INNOVACERA introduces alumina ceramic heater for soldering station

INNOVACERA is a key supplier of technical ceramic solutions. The company engages in research and development and manufacturing of advanced ceramic materials, and supplies a range of ceramic components. INNOVACERA has recently introduced a alumina ceramic heater for its HAKKO 936 soldering station.

MCH Heater VS PTC Heater

The heater has been developed based on ceramic lamination technologies, which are mainly used for highly reliable IC ceramic packages. As such, they are widely used in electronic tools.

The heater has a maximum operating temperature of 1000℃. It offers excellent mechanical properties, high-temperature durability and high-efficiency heat exchange, as well delivering high output despite its small size.

Compact, lightweight and energy-conserving, key features include the ability to lay multiple heating elements on each unit, high-watt density and good thermal efficiency. It also has a long life due to its oxidation-proof design and superior chemical resistance.

Machinable Glass Ceramic is often used for high vacuum insulation

machinable glass ceramics

Machinable Glass Ceramic has the advantages of insulation, pore-free, high/low-temperature resistant, acid and alkali resistant.

Machinable Glass Ceramic has a continuous use temperature of 800ºC and a peak temperature of 1000ºC. Its coefficient of thermal expansion readily matches most metals and sealing glasses. It has good machinability and can be lathed, milled, planed, ground, bored, incised and threaded. It also has the advantages of insulation, pore-free, high/low-temperature resistant, acid and alkali resistant and thermal impact resistant.

It is widely used for nuclear, microwave high vacuum insulation, high precision magnetism-free skeleton for aeronautic and astronautic electrical devices, ultra-high voltage insulation for electric motors and structural parts at strong erosion environments. In terms of machinability, it can take place of aluminum oxide and boron nitride ceramics that are difficult to machine.

We can make rod with dimension Ф25mm~Ф160mm, up to 300mm long. And custom shape is ok for us.

Machinable Glass Ceramic

Machinable Glass Ceramic

When you need the performance of a technical ceramic and your application requires a ready fabrication of a complicated shape, look to machinable glass ceramic. Machinable glass ceramic can be machined with ordinary carbide tools and requires no firing after machining. No costly delays, no post fabrication shrinkage and no costly tooling to meet specification.

Machinable glass ceramic withstands high temperature 900°C is non-porous/inert, and matches the thermal expansion of most metals. Applications of machinable glass ceramic includes
1. Ultra-High Vacuum Environments
Machinable glass ceramic is used as an insulator or coil support and for vacuum feed-through.In these applications, the conductive materials are supported by the MGC part and a compatible sealing glass is used to produce a vacuum-tight, hermetic seal.
2. Constant Vacuum Applications
Machinable glass ceramic is found in spacers, headers and windows for microwave tube devices and as sample holders in field ion microscopes.
3. Nuclear-Related Experiments
Since MGC is not dimensionally affected by irradiation, small cubes of the material are machined to a tolerance of one micron and used as a reference piece to measure dimensional change in other materials.
4. Welding Nozzles
Welding equipment manufacturers are using MGC as a nozzle on the tips of oxyacetylene torches. The material’s non-wetting characteristic means molten particles won’t adhere to and decrease the effectiveness of the nozzle.
